 ALLEN PAYNE, recently co-starred in the Warner Bros. summer hit "The Perfect Storm," with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg, directed by Wolfgang Petersen. Prior to that, he starred as the romantic lead opposite Renee Zellweger in "A Price Above Rubies." He has also starred in "Jason's Lyric" with Jada Pinkett and Forest Whitaker and Wes Craven's "A Vampire in Brooklyn" with Eddie Murphy and Angela Bassett. Most recently he has completed production on the independent feature films, "Blue Hill Avenue" and "30 Years to Life" (which debuted at Sundance and the New York Film Festival).
Payne made his film debut in the musical "Rooftops" and has also been featured in "CB4," the war drama "The Walking Dead," and co-starring in Mario Van Peebles' "New Jack City" opposite Wesley Snipes.
On television, Payne was a regular on the original "The Cosby Show." He was also featured in the HBO movie "The Tuskegee Airmen," as well as in the ABC movie-of-the-week, "Double Platinum" (starring Brandy and Diana Ross). He most recently starred in the BET original movie, "The Commitments" and is touring the play "Men Cry in the Dark."
